Create the Data Source for SERVICEDATASOURCE

Select Edit Tree > Services> Data Sources.

Click New.

Name: This name can be anything, but has to be unique for the entire WebLogic server. If you have more than one OIPA instance on the server, then each instance should have a unique name.

JNDI Name : SERVICELAYER. This name cannot be anything other than SERVICEDATASOURCE.

Select Targets as server name Select (ServiceLayer) from available list and add to Chosen list

Select the Data Source Type : Generic Data Source

Database Type : Oracle

Select the driver *Oracle Driver (Thin XA) for Service Connections; Version:Any.

Enter the Database Name.

Enter the Host Name of the database server.

Enter the Port number of the database server.

Enter the Database user name. This can be obtained from the database administrator who installed the databases.

Enter both password entries. This can be obtained from the database administrator who installed the databases.

- Click on Create.
- Go to connection pool and click on TestConfiguration.
- Save and Commit the changes using Cart icon.
Note: Attached images are referring to SQL Server. For Oracle the User interface is similar.
